pub trait BufferPathResolver {
// Required method
fn path_for_buffer(&self, buffer_id: u32) -> Option<PathBuf>;
}Expand description
Resolves a picker-relative buffer id to its on-disk path, for the one
routing variant (RoutingPayload::JumpInBuffer) whose location is
buffer-relative rather than a filesystem path.
The host supplies it — it owns the buffer↔path map — so lattice-picker
stays free of any dependency on the editor (the off-thread guarantee is
structural, not by discipline). A buffer with no path (a synthetic
*scratch*, an unsaved buffer) yields None, and the entry is skipped:
there is no file the error list could jump to.
Required Methods§
fn path_for_buffer(&self, buffer_id: u32) -> Option<PathBuf>
Dyn Compatibility§
This trait is dyn compatible.
In older versions of Rust, dyn compatibility was called "object safety".
