AD.2: the reference as a set of files, relative to docs/dev/reference/:
the index plugin-api.md, one plugin-api/<seam>.md per interface, and
the machine-readable plugin-api.json.
One page per seam serves both readers: a person lands on the seam they searched for, and an agent loads the one page it needs instead of the whole API.
examples is the scan of the guests (crate::examples::scan); each one
is rendered under the function, type or seam it targets.
