pub struct TerminalScrollbackLines;Expand description
Maximum scrollback ring size (lines). Set to 0 to
disable scrollback entirely (saves RAM on long-running
terminals with chatty output). Default 10000 matches
the user-facing docs/user/terminal-mode.md table and what
most modern terminal emulators ship with.
Capped at 1_000_000 — beyond that the ring’s memory
footprint dwarfs every other editor allocation and the
search hot path slows to a crawl. Users who genuinely
want unbounded history should pipe the output to a file
instead and :e it as a Document buffer.
Implementations§
Source§impl TerminalScrollbackLines
impl TerminalScrollbackLines
Sourcepub fn build_spec() -> Option<i64>
pub fn build_spec() -> Option<i64>
Build the runtime spec for this declaration.
Used by the registry’s self-registration boot
path; not generally called by hand. Direct
construction of Option<T> is the macro’s
internal-only path – consumer code uses
config.get_typed::<#name_ident>() to read
and config.set_typed::<#name_ident>(...) to
write.

Internal access is type-driven. The macro derives this

declared via mode_options!); manually-typed NAMEs are
not supported for built-in options.Source§const DOC: &'static str = TerminalScrollbackLines
