pub struct FusedDispatch {
pub outcome: DispatchOutcome,
pub tail_signals: Option<Vec<RendererSignal>>,
}Expand description
Slice I.7 — result of Editor::dispatch_fused, the one-round-trip
keystroke apply.
outcome is the dispatch’s DispatchOutcome (effects / signals /
next_actions / consumed), exactly as dispatch returns it.
tail_signals is Some(signals) when the deterministic post-dispatch
tail — ensure_cursor_visible → maybe_reparse_syntax →
sync_keymap_overlays → run_tick_pending — ran IN-actor because the
dispatch produced no renderer-coupled work (empty effects / signals /
next_actions, not consumed) and no popup was up. In that case the
signals are run_tick_pending’s output and the renderer only has to
run its UI-side handle_renderer_signal over them.
tail_signals is None when the caller must run the legacy multi-RPC
tail itself: the dispatch carried renderer-coupled effects / signals /
next_actions (whose App-side do_* handlers + recursive apply must
run BEFORE the tail so effect ordering holds), or it consumed the
action (renderer bails before the tail), or a popup was up (the
State-A hover-dismiss state machine lives App-side for the legacy
path). Those keystrokes are the rare ones (file open, LSP, picker,
hover) where the typing-contract latency is not the concern.
