OilSnapshotLocal

Struct OilSnapshotLocal

Source
pub struct OilSnapshotLocal(pub OilSnapshot);
Expand description

DL.5: the directory state :w diffs against.

It used to live on OilBuffer alongside the rope. The rope is an actor-backed Document now, so the snapshot moves here — the same place OilDir already lived, and the same shape the file tree has used for its entries all along.

Tuple Fields§

§0: OilSnapshot

Trait Implementations§

Source§

impl BufferLocal for OilSnapshotLocal

Source§

const NAME: &'static str = "oil-mode.snapshot"

Public display name (:describe-buffer row label, debug logs). Convention: <owner-mode-name>.<key>, e.g. "file-tree.entries". Not a registry key — locals aren’t registered globally; the name is metadata for inspection.
Source§

const DOC: &'static str = "Directory entries as of open or the last successful `:w`. \ `:w` diffs the buffer's text against this to derive the renames, \ deletes and creates to execute."

Doc string. Shown in :describe-buffer when the user expands a local for detail.
Source§

const OWNER_MODE: &'static str = "oil-mode"

Mode id that owns this local. Attribution metadata for :describe-buffer; the write-time check the design calls for (a ModeContext::set_local::<T> that rejects a non-owner) is not implemented, so nothing enforces it today (see the module docs).
Source§

fn describe(&self) -> String

Single-line summary of the local’s value for :describe-buffer’s tabular display. Implementations should be cheap (no heavy formatting); detailed inspection is via the mode’s own commands.
