Expand description

User-supplied scan parameters.

Fields§

§root: PathBuf

Project root the scan walks. Defaults to CWD when the trigger function isn’t given an explicit one.

§case_sensitive: bool

Whether matches are case-sensitive.

§max_files: Option<usize>

Cap on the number of files scanned. None = unlimited (defaults to large; the scan respects .gitignore).

§max_hits_per_file: usize

Cap on hits per file before moving on (per-file hit-limit; prevents one huge file from monopolising the batch budget).

§regex: bool

M.6.3 (2026-06-01): interpret query as a fancy-regex pattern instead of a literal substring. false (default) keeps the M.6.0 literal-match path for back-compat. Case-sensitivity layered on via an injected (?i) flag when case_sensitive == false.

§context_lines: u32

K.4.6 follow-up (2026-06-02): number of context lines to show above and below each matched line. Resolved from the search.context_size typed option at :search dispatch time. 0 = no context (one excerpt per match row); N > 0 = ±N lines around each match, with adjacent clusters merged when ranges overlap or touch.
