ErrorEntry

Struct ErrorEntry

Source
pub struct ErrorEntry {
    pub path: PathBuf,
    pub line: u32,
    pub col: u32,
    pub severity: ErrorSeverity,
    pub message: String,
}
Expand description

One navigable location on the error list. line / col are 0-based (the convention Editor::jump_to_file_line_col expects), matching LSP diagnostics.

§Examples

use lattice_protocol::error_list::{ErrorEntry, ErrorSeverity, ErrorSource};

// rustc's `src/main.rs:12:5` is 1-based; the entry stores it 0-based.
let entry = ErrorEntry {
    path: "src/main.rs".into(),
    line: 11,
    col: 4,
    severity: ErrorSeverity::Error,
    message: "mismatched types".into(),
};
assert_eq!(entry.line + 1, 12);

// Slices from different producers concatenate in a fixed order.
assert_eq!(ErrorSource::PRESENTATION_ORDER[0], ErrorSource::Compilation);
assert_eq!(ErrorSource::Lsp.label(), "lsp");

Fields§

§path: PathBuf

The file the entry points into, as the producer reported it (compiler output is typically relative to the working directory; LSP paths are absolute).

§line: u32

0-based line.

§col: u32

0-based byte column.

§severity: ErrorSeverity

How serious the entry is.

§message: String

The producer’s message text.
